The Day Hand Low Port Bit is an excellent transitional bit for horses that are learning to shift from direct reining to neck reining. It features a locked mouthpiece and provides a direct pull on the rein when the rider gives a cue to the horse. The low port encourages collection and flexion at the poll, while relieving pressure from the tongue and distributing it evenly across the bars of the mouth. Additionally, the sweet iron mouthpiece makes the bit palatable and soft for the horse. Sweet iron mouthpiece promotes salivation for a supple and comfortable fit. This material is designed to rust naturally and imparts a sweet taste to the horse.
