This Dutton bit is similar to a standard short shank snaffle, but has an added large loose ring for a slower response time and is more forgiving. The weighted rings also provide similar action to a slobber strap.
Mouthpiece 19: Light severity. Three-piece mouthpiece with 3/8” inlay copper bars and 1 1/2” copper wrapped dog-bone center. This is a nice mouthpiece to reach the outside pressure points of the bars. The three-piece mouthpiece allows for tongue relief.
