Dutton Bits

Founded in 1976 and located in Los Lunas, New Mexico, the company of Dutton Bits specializes in manufacturing horse bits to meet the unique needs of each horse and its rider. When Greg Dutton made his first bit over 45 years ago, he had no idea that it would grow into the company that it is today.

As a horseman himself with a deep commitment to and appreciation of God, Dutton has taken his gifts and talents as a bridle bit maker to heart. Over the years since creating his first bit, he has continued to make different styles of bits based on the types of situations that he has personally encountered.

With a strong passion for making better horsemen, who he believes can then make better horses, Dutton places an emphasis on the importance of communication. Not only does he believe that communication between customer and manufacturer is important, but so too is communication between the rider and the horse. With the bridle bit being one of the main tools used in communicating with your horse, Dutton Bits strives to create the perfect bridle bits to help make your experience and your relationship with your horse as positive as possible for both.
